Today I went with Stuart, Regina and Colt Prigge, some friends from church, to Regina’s parents’ house in Milburn, Oklahoma for Thanksgiving dinner. To save a little time I met them at Dave’s Ski and Tackle shop at US 75 and Hwy 91.
Regina’s brother and one of her sisters and their families were also there, which made for quite a large group at the feast. Everyone brought something for the meal. We had turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, sweet potato casserole, corn, green bean casserole, broccoli and rice casserole, and several kinds of desserts, including my banana pudding. This was not exactly a run-of-the-mill potluck dinner! I really enjoyed the meal and fellowship with so many nice people. To top it off, the weather was absolutely perfect.
Regina’s parents will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on December 24, so they were making plans and addressing invitations to the big party on the Saturday before. After Christmas the whole family will go to Branson, Missouri for a few days. They certainly will be busy for the next few weeks!
After Stuart and Regina dropped me off, I went to CVS to get “a few things” and ended up spending more than $150. Yikes! I particularly needed tissues and cough drops. Ever since I’ve been back up here, my allergies have been on a rampage.
