Dick & Lou arrived here in Ely late this afternoon. They met and visited with Mom & Dad for about an hour before heading over to the RV park where they will be staying for the next 3-4 days. After setting up they came back over to the house were we had a nice time catching up over a dinner of chili and cornbread.

I'm glad they didn't arrive yesterday as a snow storm hit late yesterday afternoon and covered everything with a couple of inches of snow. We had no Internet this morning as our satellite dish was covered with snow. Fortunately the sun came out today and melted the majority of it away. At least here in town and on the main roads. The surrounding mountains are still covered and it sure is pretty. It even warmed significantly and I believe sunny skies are supposed to prevail through the rest of the week. Sure hope so, we have a bunch of sight-seeing planned!

Yesterday was our friend Jack's birthday, so Happy Birthday buddy! Hope you had a great day. We'll celebrate it when you get to South Dakota! You pick the meal ok?? We plan to visit Lehman Caves tomorrow. I love these caves. We'll be taking the 90 minute Grand Room tour and need to get there in plenty of time to buy our tickets. So, guess I better hit the sack.

In the meantime, I received some awesome river pics from my friend David.

The river shown in the photographs is the Cano Cristales, which is located near the town of La Macarena in Columbia, South America. The river, world famous for its colorful display, has been called "the river that ran away to paradise", "the most beautiful river in the world" and "the river of five colors."

During a brief span between wet and dry seasons, when the water level is just right, the many varieties of algae and moss bloom in a dazzling display of colors. Without any roads leading to this river, it must be accessed by horse. Wish I was there and had a horse to get back to see it for myself! A nice gentle one mind you, LOL! Enjoy....
