Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

We had plenty of time to get started this morning as our drive was less than 100 miles total. Eddie & Jan rode with Marilyn & I to the same restaurant we found for lunch yesterday.

Once again the food was good and plentiful, causing us to leave with tummies full. We stopped to fuel the car before returning to the RV’s. We again took our time and finally were ready to go.

Eddie & I discussed the routing and then Marilyn & I rolled out of the OK RV Park at a quarter before 10:00. Eddie & Jan caught up with us and pulled into the J & H RV Park right behind us.

Unfortunately for our friends, the site they were assigned had an RV in it with mechanical problems, so Eddie & Jan were given the nicer site on the other side of us, and they were soon parked and all set up just as we were.

These good friends say with us for a cold drink in the shade of a huge tree beside our site, and we agreed that it was nice to be off the road for a few weeks.

Eddie & Jan decided to fix dinner for the four of us so they drove off to the grocery store where they had some rib eye steaks cut for us.

Our daughter, Jennifer, called to wish me a Happy Father’s Day and we had a nice visit. It has been a fine Father’s Day for sure.

Sitting outdoors in awesome weather with good friends, easy, comfortable conversation, and a cold adult beverage started our evening and then the menu for dinner:

Bone-in Rib Eye Steaks hot off the grill, Corn on the cob, Salad, Bread, with Dutch Apple Pie and Blue Bell Vanilla Bean Ice Cream for dessert.

Life is Good!
