"On The Road Again" - that song has new meaning for us now! We were finally able to move today. When the technician came last Friday to put the new jack on he noticed, after getting it on that there was a difference in length between the new jack and the one on the left front which had been replaced last summer. There was a 2 inch difference. We then had to wait for Atwood to ship the correct jack which came in this morning. The technician came out and put it on and we were on our way about 12:30. We didn't know how far we would get but we pulled in here at The Californian RV Resort in Acton, CA. It is about 20 miles from my cousin, Gary Fullerton and his wife, Stephanie who live in Santa Clarita. We will get together with them tomorrow.
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We attended the Grace Community Church in Boulder City. Brad had driven by the church on Saturday and came back to the coach to check out their website. They had the Sunday morning bulletin on the site. The Pastor's sermon was titled 15 Ways to Be a Better Valentine. They have three services; the 8:00 service we went to is less formal; the 10:00 a.m. service is formal and then there's an evening service that is contemporary. There were a lot of children at the service we attended (about 15). The prelude was the youth minister, playing the guitar, The Sr. Pastor, playing a bongo drum and two women singing the hymns that were going to be sung in the service. We were all given a valentine by the children. It was a very friendly church and we were made to feel very welcome. After church we went out to breakfast and then went out again for supper at Claim Jumpers. Talk about being spoiled! I didn't have to cook at all that day. Claim Jumpers is a chain here in the Southwest. It's a great restaurant. Nikki had taken Jan, Brad and I there the night before we left Tempe.
Monday we went back into Las Vegas for something to do. We decided to go to Circus, Circus Casino/Hotel. We had heard that there were circus acts going on all day. This is one of the older casinos. The floor over the casino was a Midway with all carnival games as well at a small stage with tiered seating and circus acts are performed all day. The act we watched was very short and ho-hum. The Midway was loaded with children and we found the Casino very dated and not very clean - a far cry from the others we had been in. Our total loss for our 4 trips into Las Vegas was $18.00 - actually pretty cheap entertainment.
