Another library day, but this time it was to listen to a talk presented by Arthur and Pauline Frommer of the Frommer travel guides. Mr. Frommer told the story of how he started his Frommer's guides... by writing to his Army buddies after WWI to travel around Europe inexpensively and to get a real feel for the country they were visiting. He and Pauline described travel as being an experience rather than one big tourist destination after another. I heartily agree.
