She'll be walkin' soon...

What a little ham!...

We have arrived in Alamogordo, NM. We left Carlsbad to beautiful skies & drove the 150 miles in about 3 hrs. We came across a steep mountain pass, over 8350 ft, with a 6% downgrade the last 20 miles! The temperature varied from 78 to 53 along the way! And we got sprinkled on a few times, but only for a minute or two. It is 8:30am & 68 degrees as I write this. I believe we are going to the White Sands Monument & dunes today. We could see them as we crested the last mountain. Wow...miles & miles of it. This is a pretty little town. Guess we'll stay a couple of days at least.

When we checked our e-mail last night, we had received a couple of new pics of granddaughter Lily. I know some of you wait for updates on her. I think she has become quite the little ham! We sure miss her. These little ones are the light of our lives, aren't they! And, today his her dad's birthday. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY DON... We love you!

Okay, guess I'd better make some breakfast & get showered. My honey is anxious to get going!
