Today was a much more pleasant day than yesterday for several reasons. #1 was the visit with one of my college roommates, Kay Ach. She picked me up at the KOA Kampground and took me first to her house. I had a chance to visit briefly with her husband, Tom. They have a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood in Federal Way.
Then we went to the Tacoma waterfront area. We walked around a little and sat on a shaded bench for a while and watched the activities in Puget Sound. It was such a nice day for this. A little after 5:00 we went to the Harbor Lights Restaurant for dinner. We both chose the salmon salad, which was delicious. We shared a piece of cheesecake with fresh peaches. Yum!!
All too soon it was time to head back to the KOA. It was so good to see Kay again.
The #2 reason for a more pleasant day was that my eye was feeling much better. The swelling had gone down some more and it didn't feel so sore and light sensitive. I'm feeling more positive about the prognosis now.
