This morning we headed south to check out the lighthouses. We had the best light conditions of the day for photography.
Our first stop was at the North Head Lighthouse, which was built in 1898. According to plaques on the lighthouse, it is located at latitude 46 degrees 17' 57" north and longitude 124 degrees 04' 48" west. It is situated on the west side of the peninsula. We walked a lovely trail to reach the lighthouse. The views from the trail are as beautiful as from the lighthouse itself. The weather was perfect, too.I saw three deer beside the trail and, when I stepped closer to take photographs, they didn’t run.
