Larry & Cheryl's 2019 Travels travel blog

Tranny in our Honda

Heading out over the prairie of Alberta

Once in a while a low ridge

Driving close to a ridge and farmland

Pretty blue barn

We will watch for but not see any

Still plenty of dandelions yet

So many interesting clouds

We can see for many miles

This is the only moose we saw

but there was a Deer

Lots of large farms with pasture land

Not wild life, just cows

Pouce coupe wooden railway bridge

Alberta's largest wooden bridge

Big Farm

Little Community Church

This highway is designated as "Dangerous Goods Route"

Finally, Edmonton

Lots of US businesses, including LA Fitness

Arriving at Edmonton Wajax

They knew exactly what to do and were waiting for us

Can't get closer, have to use manpower onto the forks

Successful transfer, now the Honda sits higher

Downtown Edmonton

Moose warning signs

And here she is !!

Turning to run away from us

Very threatening clouds

Nice to see Old Glory flying

Smoky River

Seeing many oil derricks

Even a Breast Cancer Awareness Derrisk

Pembina Pipeline Corp. Natural Gas

Showing off his stonework

The Lord telling us things will be okay

We wanted to get the repair done as quickly as possible, and when scheduling a transport service to take our transmission to Edmonton would take longer, Larry volunteered to take it.

On the way back to Grande Prairie the service manager let us know their Edmonton facility had the repair parts and were installing them. Later he informed us the transmission was done, tested out fine on the dyno and was on the evening truck headed back to Grande Prairie. It should be here by noon (Thursday) and they should have us out of here by evening. Then it will just be trying to catch up with our friends who are 983 miles in front of us.
