High school students using "bucket brigade" technique to unload lugguage from ferry

We left Lahaina on the 6:00 pm ferry to get to Molokai. We arrived at Kaunakakai. When we arrived the high school kids that were coming over to Molokai from Lahaina for a Hawaiian language competition helped unload the ferry. Our leader to told us this is the way the ferry is always unloaded - everyone on the ferry makes a "bucket brigade" to get the stuff off and no one leaves until it is all off. The kids just got up and did it without being asked and had it done in a matter of about 10 minutes. I have posted pictures of that.

I am staying at the Hotel Molokai. It is a bit rustic but very nice and has all the amenities we need. Again, the problem is we don't have much time to spend here. It has a small patio that I have been using to write this. This morning I had breakfast on the patio. We had breakfast sandwiches - egg, ham and cheese on a croissant - far better than McDonalds!!! There was also from fruit and pastries available.

I was awaken this morning - well before sunrise by an apparently jet-lagged rooster crowing. He continued crowing until we left about 7:00. I had wondered what the earplugs were doing on the bed-stand. Now I know.
