This day we shared the 208 miles through the countryside of north central to eastern Arkansas. It was a beautiful drive over hill and dale on the two lane highways. Our stop for the night is the Tom Sawyer RV Park along the shore of the Mississippi River. As it turned out, our site backs up to the river providing a grand view. Our excitement was so great we stayed in and ordered Italian dinner to be delivered. So it was wine, with Italian during sun down overlooking the Mississippi. Whew! What a night. Dave reflected, saying that in June of 1853 his ancestors from Denmark sailed right passed this very spot on their quest for settling in the U. S.

Our next stop is only 60 miles away.
