|After watching as our ship docked in Charlotte Amalie in St Thomas this morning, we took our showers and dressed for the day.
Marilyn & I had visited St Thomas twice before so we were in no hurry and had no agenda other than to enjoy the awesome weather and maybe do a little shopping.
We shared breakfast and then took some coffee out on the deck for a while.
We decided to go ashore to shop for gifts for the Grandkids and, as we walked out our door, met our friends, Eddie & Jan. We quickly made a decision to wander through the shops together and that is just what we did.
Around lunch time we found a place to share some quiet time and try a banana daiquiri. The Dockside Bar was a place where we could sit outside and simply enjoy being here.
More shopping followed and then we separated from our friends as Marilyn & I headed back to the ship.
We shared a snack at the on-board buffet before retiring to the comfort of our cabin where a nap was a welcome respite from all that shopping.
I should mention that none of the four of us felt much hunger due to that wonderful meal we shared the night before. We did have a light meal for dinner and then met Eddie & Jan to attend the show in the huge Princess theater. A wonderful, funny, comedian named Steve Caouette was the attraction and the theater was packed. It is an understatement to say that we all had a great time.
After the show, Eddie went to the Casino, while Marilyn and Jan opted to listen to the live music and have a cocktail together. I returned to our cabin, grabbed my Kindle, and went to the deck outdoors to sit quietly and read for a while.
Marilyn returned to our cabin shortly after I arrived and we looked forward to another great night of sleep as the gentle rocking motion of the ship lulled us into that La-La Land.
