|We were up just in time to stand on the balcony and watch as our ship docked in Barbados.
When Marilyn & I sat together with our morning coffee, we were delighted to see another large ship approaching the Pier. It was the Queen Mary 2. (Queen Mary 2)
After a breakfast in the Buffet, we were ready to join Eddie & Jan for a tour of the Island.
A lady cab driver named Merleen was our guide this morning and a fine tour it was!
All eight people who were in that small Van enjoyed the tour. We learned a great deal about the population and culture of this tiny nation.
One of our final stops was at a mountaintop rest area where a delicious, ice cold Rum Punch tasted mighty fine.
Marilyn took lots of pictures today, and although interesting, I must say that the beauty does not compare to that of St Lucia.
Our ship was scheduled to depart at 3:30 this afternoon, but one couple was about 20 minutes late. We were surprised that the Captain actually waited for these folks to arrive before we actually left.
One thing they do at departure is to use the Ship’s Horn to play the “Loveboat” song.
We will sail through the night to arrive at St Kitts tomorrow morning.
We sure have had a wonderful cruise so far and it is good to see our friends so happy. Eddie has been laughing and singing. Great!
I’m sure our friends would have to agree that Life is Good!
