Another week in paradise!! The temperatures have been really nice so far but its supposed to get into the low 80s this weekend and early next week.

The first part of the week was spent watching the Women's College World Series where our Lady Gators managed to take home top honors for the second year in a row. Congratulations ladies - you do the Gator Nation proud!!

Wednesday we made the 473 mile trip to Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT and back to get Doris' military ID renewed. It always comes due while we are on a trip and we have to find a military base close to somewhere we are going to be staying. This is the first time it required a trip the length of this one. It took almost four hours to get to the base and then a quick 15 minutes to get the ID! We did stop at the commissary and stock up on a few things we can take into Canada, which we go into three weeks from today. Due to the bird flu and its impact on our chickens, Canada is allowing no poultry products, including eggs, into the country. We will have to wait and get chicken and eggs once we are in there.

Thursday we just recouped from the trip, but Friday we attended to Doris' weekly shopping excursion into Kalispell! Visiting Joann's, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Best Buy, Dollar Tree and Glacier Quilts, only picking up one or two items at each one until we hit the quilt shop where she spent almost three hours trying to find six fabrics that would be color compatible!!! I dropped her at Glacier Quilts and did the Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Best Buy runs on my own expecting her to be finished by the time I got back. That was definitely one of the most wrong answers I have had in recent memory! Anyways, the ladies at the quilt place were very accommodating and she was able to find the "perfect" fabrics for her first real quilt, fat quarters and all.

The baseball Super Regionals are being played this weekend to determine the eight college teams to get into the College World Series starting next Thursday. Our Gators put a real whooping on Florida State last night so hopefully they can win today or tomorrow to punch their ticket for the CWS. They probably should have saved some of those runs yesterday though.
