After setting up, we drove to the Villages (about 5 miles away) for lunch at Cody's Original Roadhouse. Now we are sure you have see the advertisements on TV about the Villages, the Retirement community in Central Florida. Well, you have be here to really experience what all this means. Well there are many villages within the town of The Villages. If there is one golf cart, there are several thousand. Now these golf carts are allowed on some of the street; however, they have their own "Cart Road" that allows them to get anywhere in they want. Also when they park the park perpendicular to the curb, a sight to see. You need to watch out for them, they driven at a rather quick pace. The Villages is a VERY ACTIVE community. Lots of golf courses, tennis courts, lawn bowling, shuffle board and all sorts of other activities. Not sure this is for us, but it is a very interesting concept. The Villages are totally different from Del Webb's Sun City concept.
We had a wonderful lunch at Cody's Original Roadhouse and the price was right. When we got back there was a Direct TV blimp flying over our RV and there were two horses walking along the fence just behind our RV.
