Sunset at OK Campgrounds

View of Great Salt Lake from Antelope Island. Yes, the waterline is...

Wasatch Mountains, Great Salt Lake, sandy sand, road on Antelope Island, hillside.

One of the park's tour guides told us there has been drought...

Someone brought bison to the Island, and now there are about 600...

Monday, we left Moab and drove north to Provo. Our campsite was beautiful, and the park is right on the Provo River. There are cows across the street, and Provo Lake State Park is just down the road. We took advantage of the rainy weather to catch up on shopping and stuff. We got to do a little sightseeing before the rain set in, and we saw Bridal Veil Falls and part of the reservoir up in the hills. It's beautiful country, and so close to Salt Lake City, which is our last stop in Utah. Friday, we left Provo for Ogden to spend Memorial Day weekend in the Great Salt Lake area. The pictures are from Antelope Island State Park, which is the largest island in the Great Salt Lake. The buffalo had a huge sprig of grass hanging on his head, but he (she?) still looked magnificent. Tomorrow, we are heading north again for Teton National Park in Wyoming, and Friday we plan to arrive in Yellowstone for our 10 day visit. Let's hope the weather holds out for us to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.
