Highway 93, Sinclair Canyon, Kootenay NP, BC

Today we decided to go back into Kootenay NP to see some of the sights we didn’t stop for yesterday. After driving back up into the mountains, we stopped at a beautiful aquamarine-colored lake called Olive Lake, then continued down toward Radium Hot Springs, where we caught the Juniper Trail. This trail took us down into Sinclair Canyon, where we saw Sinclair Falls. From there, the trail climbs up the other side of the canyon and continues up into the hills for a ways, before rejoining the highway. This time we had the trail almost to ourselves, and thoroughly enjoyed the walk.

From Radium Hot Springs, we continued south, finally reaching the US border at Roosville MT. Glad to be back in the US, we proceeded to the town of Kalispell. It was our first taste of life in the Lower 48 in almost two months!

We got a site at the Rocky Mountain “Hi” RV Park, which was a really pleasant place. It had the added bonus of good WiFi service at our site, so we spent the evening posting pictures from our last few days.
