This morning Ann slept late since she didn't have much further to drive. She lives in San Antonio. She did stick her head out the door to say good-bye about the time I had finished unhooking. I needed to be on the road fairly early, though, because I had to run some errands in Austin before continuing on to Georgetown. While passing through Pleasanton, I noticed that H-E-B had regular gasoline for 1.999 per gallon, so I whipped in there to get Daisy a little snack. Farther along the route, I had a snack myself at a rest stop.
In Austin I stopped at Target to get a few things and then went to CompUSA to pick up my Olympic digital camera. They had called to tell me that it had arrived back at their store and that they would test it and have it ready for me to pick up in about an hour. Well...not so. When I arrived, they informed me that the UPS driver had not actually delivered it as shown on his report. They called me again several hours later to tell me that, on the second delivery, he had left it. By then I was already settled in the RV park in Georgetown, though, so I asked them to hold it for me until I could pick it up.
After picking up my mail from Dave, I continued on to Georgetown. By the time I got settled into my new home at Berry Springs RV Park, it was nearly dark. I expect to be here until December 13, when I'll go to San Marcos for the Cen-Tex LoW Christmas campout. I don't know where I'll go after that -- maybe back down to the Rio Grand Valley for the winter. I haven't made up my mind on that option.
This RV park offers free WiFi service, among other amenities. The WiFi works differently here than at other parks where I've stayed. I have to use an "Air Station" ethernet converter. Their system does not work with the card in my computer. Always something new to learn! Anyway, I'm glad they have the converter to lend me. I'll have to turn it back in when I leave.
While I'm here 'chilling out' for a while, I want to finish scanning all my old photographs and catch up on my reading. That should keep me out of trouble. :>)
