We enjoyed the spectacular views today while riding the Koblenz Cable Car to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. We had a one-of-a-kind view of a city steeped in more than 2,000 years of tradition at the junction of the Rhine and Moselle rivers and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Oberes Mittelrheintal (“Upper Middle Rhine Valley”).
The Koblenz Cable Car was a very special experience. The cable car takes you high up from Konrad-AdenauerUfer (the Rhine bank) to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress mountain station. The ride over the Rhine surely is among the greatest attractions in the Oberes Mittelrheintal area. Vickie and Sam also toured the fortress and took pictures of the special cars from a car show. On the way down we took the cable car that has a glass bottom with more spectacular views. Our awesome host, Carmen, told us about the glass bottom one, we were very happy she did. :-) We also enjoyed the awesome Koblenz Promenade, it was another great day in Germany, check back later for more.
