Mount Shasta from I-5 Rest Stop

Today we had another fairly long drive to Redding but it was pleasant. We made a couple of rest stops, one of them to eat lunch at a very nice picnic table. We had a cool breeze there.

We had a little adventure when we arrived at Redding. The sign to the RV park is a bit ambiguous and we bore to the left into a storage facility. We could see RVs at the back, so we assumed that the RV park was behind the storage units. Not so! The manager at the storage facility was extremely rude and hateful. When we arrived at the RV park, we told the manager about it and suggested that they move their sign to the other side of the street so there won't be any doubt.

The hot temperature here is a bit of a shock to our system after the two months of cool weather in the Pacific Northwest. I wish we could have bagged up some of it to bring along!

After getting settled into my site, I inserted my contact lenses to see how my left eye would feel. So far, so good. I'm very thankful that it is well again!
