Check out the scenery

We have been around the world and travelled through quite a few countries but today we both agreed we witnessed our finest view so far. The vista from the the top of Cerro Campanario was in a word sublime. We stood looking out across the clear blue lakes and at the backdrop of snow topped mountains in awe at what nature can create. It truly was a spectacular place and one that will stay etched on our minds for a long time.

The ride on the chairlift up the mountain was part of what is known as the 'Circuito Chico' a 64km loop around some of the lakes in the Bariloche area. After our chart topping view we went to Hotel Llao Llao the most prestigious hotel in Argentina and one of its most expensive. In a great location and with every facility available it would have been nice to lap up luxury for a change.

Next up was Bahia Lopez a rather nice lookout. Unfortunately the bus for this part of the loop only runs in the evening, so a 10k walk in the heat of the day was in store for us. The view was really good but it couldn't top what we had seen earlier. Thankfully by the time we were done here the bus turned up and drove us back to Bariloche.

A great day of scenery in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.
