Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

With no more than a three hour drive today, we took our time getting ready to leave Wheels RV in Springdale.

We took the car and drove to Cracker Barrel for a repeat of the delicious breakfast we enjoyed yesterday. This morning, they were packed with football fans, in town for the Auburn vs Arkansas football game in Fayetteville.

That large crowd made us later than we had planned in returning to the Dealer where the repairs had been made to the RV.

We soon had things ready for the road, hooked the car onto the back of the fifth wheel, and were ready to roll.

It felt really good to get back on the road again. It had taken us five days longer than we had hoped for but we finally were traveling again.

We had planned our route to keep us behind the weather system and all the rain, as it moved slowly to the east.

We arrived at the Checotah KOA and were soon all set up.

I had some trouble getting connected to the WiFi here but with the help of Chris, it was solved and I managed to post the last two blogs I had written but not posted.

Our friends are all sitting in very wet places, while we are dry but anxious to get back to the valley.

This KOA has a nice little restaurant on the premises, and we’ll eat our dinner with other RV folks.

Tomorrow we’ll be back on the road, heading to Perrin, TX for one night before moving on to Kerrville for a couple of nights.

We plan to arrive at Retama on Thursday if all goes well.

Life is Good!
