Yesterday we left Bois-Jerome-Saint-Ouen and headed towards our next stop close to Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. Unfortunately we were about half way there on the motorway when the car indicated a problem with the tyre pressure on the front passenger side. We pulled into the next service centre and tried to contact Europecar but they were pretty hopeless and less than helpful. We decided to pump up the tyre a bit more and drive to the next village. We found a car service shop that found the nail in our tyre and were able to fix it on the spot. We were a little later than planned arriving at our accommodation where we will be for the next three nights. Our country cottage (a converted barn) is fantastic and well located. This morning we set off early and drove tthe 15minutes to Mont Saint Michel. We got there before the crowds and enjoyed another wonderful day exploring the Abbey and the village around it. The history of Mont Saint Michel dates back to the year 708 and today is the second most visited site in France (after Paris).
