I'm starting to get organized and putting things in their travel mode. I have but one weekend left at Adventureland. We had our Employee Appreciation Dinner Tuesday night. Our choices were chicken and/or prime rib with all the fixings. Soft drinks and booze were included. We certainly don't get rich here, but they treat us well, the RV park is pleasant, Iowa is a great little state with some wonderful places to visit, and, well, other than the Sky Ride which stresses me and others deeply, the rides are a kick to operate. There were a few sour apples but mostly the workcampers were a heck of a lot of fun also.

I've enjoyed the season much more than I did back in 2013 when I was in the Games Department. I will admit that the reason is due partly to the fact that we had a less

severe summer than usual. There were only two very, very hot and humid weeks that made it tough. Goodbyes will soon be shared...

I read the following the other day and was very impressed. Iowa is certainly among the leaders! Unfortunately I do not have the image, but it was an enormous area spreading outward from the middle of our nation.

What are farmers doing besides feeding the rest of us? A NASA satellite found some odd readings over the United States. Global warming proponents thought they were onto something. They were surprised to find this image was a manifestation of the force of farming in the United States. This satellite image shows the photosynthesis of America's 100 million acre Corn crop. Further research found the US corn crop, at it's peak, produces 40% more oxygen than the Amazon rain forest. Thank you farmers.

I wanted to post photos from the downpour we had last week as I experienced a special moment I won't soon forget. Though I do not have any photos of the actual moment on the chapel porch, I'll tell the story with pictures. Each photo post is very limited in the number of characters I am able to use, so I apologize... still, it's a good story.
