We were in early and repaired the plumbing on the women’s sink – large built-up. The remit was easy, although with Natalie wearing her “bionic boot,” it was difficult. We worked the desk and the cash register for the rest of the morning.

Grocery shopping followed and we ate our tri-tip, salad, baked/sweet potato and garlic knot around 2pm. At 5, Chuck and Betty picked us up and after a stop at Craig Thomas VC for hiking maps, we attended the Murie Center Front porch Conversation, which had to be held indoors due to thunder. The question was how do we deal with expanded usage of our public lands. Linda from Forest Service and our own Brian Glaspell, refuge manager, led the discussion, which was excellent. Rainbows greeted us when we left.

John and Charma were home when we got back, and once we took them the paper, we were regaled with beautiful tomatoes and her home-cooked treats! So glad to see them.
