Last Monday we spent the day/evening at our friend Jan Speirs cabin located along the Mickelson Trail outside of Mystic, SD. We've wanted to see her cabin for a couple of years & were finally able to fit the day into everyone's schedule. It was Labor Day so of course we needed to grill, but three of us were also celebrating birthday's so presents, cupcakes & ice cream were also on the menu.

After dinner we went for a walk along the Rapid Creek to view the surrounding cabins/woods & walk off our meal. Jan has a nice golf cart so Larry hitched a ride for a part of the walk & I jumped onto the 1/2 seat in the back so I could shot a few pics backwards. It was a lovely day, perfect weather & lovely scenery.

When we returned Brad & Bonnie (aka the Ramblin Rangers) played a couple of hours of music for the guests. We are so blessed to call them friends and they are a wonderful couple in addition to being fantastic songwriter/singer/musicians! It was a relaxing, fun day & thank you so much Jan for the invite. We loved it :)
