Arrived in Savannah and stayed at the Keller Flea Market. This is a family owned flea market that has been operating since 1987. It covers what was originally a farm, and in the back there is a field where you can park with utilities. It was really unique.
Going onto town, we parked and just walked down the riverwalk. It's really pretty and relaxing. My boat was parked with two rather good looking young men cleaning an shining it as we walked by...I was sooo glad it had finally been delivered!! LOL (check out the picture)
We also came across a veterans memorial that I felt was one of the best I have seen. It is called "Worlds Apart" with a globe split in half with the names of WWII soldiers names written inside.
We spent a couple hours at the Bonaventure Cemetery. Many famous people are buried there including Johnny Mercer, a famous poet and songwriter. He wrote the song Moon River, Autumn Leaves, and many others.
