Hummm. Yummy grilled shish kabobs

Rachel and Tessa on the swings

A view of their home from the backyard

Today we went to the Mattoon Ward for Church. They were probably the friendliest of any of the ones we have visited on this trip. Several went out of their way to come over and ask who we were and where we were visiting from. This is the same ward that Kurt and Kristi and family went to when they were here the Sunday before. This is the ward that Sharen would go to if she went. Suzi visited with her visiting teacher for a while. She was easy to spot since she was also one of the speakers during Sacrament Meeting.

We went back to the coach afterwards and caught up on a little relaxation.

Then we went to Leslie and Jeff's for the afternoon. (Leslie is Sharen's daughter). Sharen was going to go with us initially but decided that she wasn't feeling well enough.

Leslie and Jeff have a really nice country home on a little over an acre. Jeff has done a lot in the way of improvements, including building a playhouse/gym set that is really nice. Leslie made shish kabobs (beef, chicken and shrimp with veggies) and Jeff grilled them. Very yummy and consequently ate too much.

We visited; got acquainted with the kids (Rachel and Tessa) and had a really good visit.

Afterward, we went back over to Sharen's to say goodby to her since we would be leaving early in the morning.

We then headed back to the park and then to bed.

(There was not internet available so this had to wait until we got to Nauvoo.)
