|Off by 9:50 a.m. for the thankfully uneventful trip to the 5 Star RV Park in Tyler, TX. We seemed to move out of cattle country into horse and armadillo country. Lots of really nice looking horses in the fields and several squished armadillos on the roads. Also moving into greener scenery…and the creeks and rivers actually have water in them! It’s still just as hot, though. 103° at the campground at 4:30 p.m. Stopped at a roadside stand on the way in to Tyler for some tomatoes, squash and cantalope. Bob made some tomato/tuna salad for dinner this evening and boy, are those tomatoes good!! Gotta' get us some more of them.
TOTAL TIME DRIVEN TODAY: 3 TOTAL MILES: 148
Off to the post office to finally pick up our mail that’s been on hold since June 1st! But, it wasn’t here yet so we’ll have to come back tomorrow. Then a bit of driving around Tyler with a stop for some groceries.
There's a Farmer's Market on Tuesday so we'll go to that to see if we can get some more of those delicious tomatoes.
Went to the Farmer's Market today but got there too late. That's all I remember about today. We will be back on Thursday...earlier!
Back to the Farmer's Market where Bob got some more tomatoes, some squash and a couple of other things. The tomatoes aren't as good as the roadside stand tomatoes were. That's all I remember again. Sheesh, must be getting old. Actually not writing this 'til August 1st so........that's my story and I'm sticking with it.
