We continued south from Uncertain. We stopped in Marshall to feed Sweet Pea ($2.719) and then drove on to Nacogdoches, where we paid a brief visit to the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden on the west side of the Stephen F. Austin State University campus. We had hoped to see some fall foliage in the garden but it was still a bit early for that, I guess. One section was closed for a Feral Hog Trapping Project.
By the time we reached Lufkin, the sun was very low, which made for hazardous driving conditions, so we decided to have dinner at IHOP before driving any further. We arrived back home at 8:00.
