During the night it started raining and was still raining off and on this morning while I was preparing to leave. Mobile RV Tech, Ronnie, was scheduled for 9:00 this morning to do a couple of small jobs for me; but he didn't arrive until after 11:00. I didn't get on the road until 12:30 as a result. He said that he was late because his van had gotten stuck in the mud. He lives in the country on a hunting lease.
I made pretty good time in spite of my late start. I made one fuel stop and a couple of other quick stops during the 235-mile trip. I arrived at the Canyon Trail RV Resort outside San Marcos at 5:45. It rained on me all the way, so it was a rather dreary trip. I was thankful to arrive safely, though.
This is my first campout with my Cen-Tex LoW friends since April, so we've got a lot of catching-up to do. Stuart, our wagon master, and one other member, Mary Jo, were the only ones here when I arrived. Most of the others will arrive on Thursday. I think Stuart is expecting a total of 27 rigs. That's a good turnout!
