'Boiling Pot'

Believe it or not, there is a koala here...

Today was Australia Day, and I moved to Noosa, further up the Sunshine Coast to visit the National Park and the beaches. I could only book at the hostel for one night so had to organise my travel to Mackay for the following day.

I got into Noosa about 10.40 and booked into the hostel around 11.15am. Shortly after I decided to head out to the National Park as I'd read that it was a good place to see koalas in the wild. When I got there my legs were still aching slightly from all the walking of the previous day and so I only did part of the coastal walk. The views were amazing, and the sea looked very inviting. Luckily, just before an area called the 'Boiling Pot' I got to see what I was looking for, way up high in a eucalyptus tree was a sleeping koala!

It was Australia Day today and so lots of people were walking around with Australia flags and the beaches were incredibly busy.

The people in my dorm room went out for the evening, but I didn't go and instead watched fireworks from the hostel and had an evening walk on the beach. Also I needed to go to bed quite early as needed to check out early.
