We took a train ride to Cologne, Germany today to visit the Cologne, Cathedral. This was the first train ride for Vickie and Sam while in Germany. They were both excited but the heat really took away a lot of the fun, it was almost 100 degrees on the train. :-) Europe is having a huge heat wave, we are hoping for rain soon to cool everything down.
Once we arrived in Cologne we walked a short distance to the awesome Cologne Cathedral. We took pictures on the outside first before visiting inside. The stained glass windows inside are absolutely incredible. Cologne Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Cologne, Germany. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne and the administration of the Archdiocese of Cologne. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and is a World Heritage Site.
