Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn & I loaded the car and drove out of Beaver Lake Campground at 10 minutes before 5:00 this morning.

We noticed several deer beside the road as we drove through a portion of Custer State Park.

We stopped in Chadron, Nebraska to grab a large coffee at McDonalds, then made a quick bathroom stop at Sidney, Nebraska, and fuelled the car before moving on.

We were close to home when we stopped for some lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs.

Before heading on to the resort, we purchased a few groceries at the Safeway store.

By the time we reached our RV back at Mountaindale, we had been gone from Custer, SD a total of 8 hours and 40 minutes.

Marilyn’s little car ran great and averaged 43.7 mpg for the trip home.

We sure enjoyed our trip and especially our time with good friends, Mike & Marian. We look forward to the next time we are all together.

Here at “home” Marilyn & I put things away, then relaxed.

It was a long drive today so we aren’t planning any new activities for a few days at least.

Life is Good!
