We went into work early to help empty the donations box, followed by breakfast at Bubbas. What was supposed to be a rainy morning, ended up lovely, soooooooooooooo, we decided to hike out at Emily Stephen’s park. This park is a wooded area along the Snake River, with a wide path up on the dike, which runs for several miles. We only walked out a mile, as we had to be back around 11am. It was lovely and we saw some beautiful birds in migration – lots of geese and Cedar Waxwings.

Once back at the VC, John helped and with Angelica, we counted the money from the donation box, using a dollar counter to help count the many $1 bills. When we were done, we took the money to the bank for deposit.

Our lunch was the left-over Tri-tip cut very thin, which was delicious, with beets and cottage cheese. We certainly feel the need for protein, and we worked much of the afternoon on preparation for our trip, including several calls with Randy and Fran.

We met friends from Emmaus at the Antler Inn and joined them for dinner at The Lift – we all had a blast sharing about their trip. We took them for a ride out on the refuge afterwards, then a trip to Moos. What could be better?
