Today Inge, Ivri, Dianne, Vera, Barbara, Emma, Virginia, Ruth and I went to Christmas at the Caswell House, presented by Austin Junior Forum. They all shopped for Christmas decorations and gifts while we waited for our 1:00 o’clock seating. This is the first time the entire group has been together in a long time.
The luncheon was catered by Gumbo’s of Georgetown (www.gumbosnorth.com). There was roasted pumpkin soup topped with pumpkin seeds and queso fresco, Oak smoked chicken breast, fresh green beans with roasted almonds, oven roasted potatoes with fresh herbs and New Orleans bread pudding with whiskey bay sauce. Everything was delicious.
Piano music was by Marlene Nichols. Favors were tiny candy-coated malt balls by Recipes and Ramblins The attached card read: Feelin kinda grouchy? Holiday spirit can’t be found?
