2011 Looking for a warm winter travel blog

The trees were completely burned

Only the posts were left from this part of the boardwalk

More of the burned trees

Henry and Blondie on the trail

We spent two nights at one of our favorite state parks, Stephen C. Foster State Park in the Okefenokee Swamp near Fargo, Georgia.

There was a fire in the spring of 2011 started by a lightening strike that burned quite a lot of the swamp. We took a walk on the boardwalk trail and could really see the evidence of the fire. The last part of the boardwalk was completely burned down.
