Today 87 miles

We are having a great time. Just seems so hard to get it all down on paper. Today we toured the Buffalo Museum and saw several albino buffalos that are very rare and thought to be sacred by the indians. An old town made up of old buildings from the the early western days. Than a nice dinner at Buffalo City Grille, downtown Jamestown in an old restored building, definately the happening place in town on a friday night. Good meal and fun sitting in the window watching trains go by. 3 large trains passed by during our meal. Where else would you see that???

Jamestown was also the birthplace of Louis L'Amour, an author of over 140 western books. I had never heard of him, Earl had read his books as a kid. How many of you know who he was???? Let me know. He wanted to write and the US Publishers would not talk to him so he took his business to Europe. Became very successful and married and settled down to write in Los Angeles.

The worst part of the day was 150 miles of driving in steady winds of 40-50 miles an hour. We were exhausted when we arrived at the campround, and found we really had to just lay down and take a nap (not a norm for us), we are usually go, go, go.

I will go back over the next couple of days and catch the journal up. Thanks everyone who is following us, we enjoy having you along with us and all the notes and comments.

It is a great ride.
