Summer 2008 travel blog

Had no trouble packing up and moving down the highway. Even the construction of a week ago had vanished.

Stopped in a big parking lot in Sturgis, MI, for a potty break and then realized it was an Eagles Club that was serving lunch. I had 3 huge soft tacos for $3 and Ron had a double cheeseburger for $5. The cheeseburger had two huge, thick patties of hamburger that made it so tall he could hardly get his mouth open wide enough.

It started to rain after we left Sturgis and we arrived in Goshen in the rain. Ron Green showed us where to park and talk about what they could do to fix up the rig. Mostly we want to get some kind of an air ride hitch to lessen the impact on the RV. We also need to replace the fabric under our bedroom slide with a piece of fiberglass as the fabric keeps tearing more and more.

They will assess what needs to be done and give us an estimate in the morning.

We now are the proud owners of a TrailAire hitch. It seems to smooth out the bumps a bit. They also put a great cover on the bottom of the bedroom slide. Sure makes it go in and out easier. They also did some misc. caulking and we were ready to hit the road.

This is a great place and we would recommend them.
