Reflections of the reflected sunset over Lake Wakatipu

The weather is still as good as ever although they keep threatening it is going to change. The drive over to Queenstown from Wanaka took as over the Cardrona valley road past the ski fields and some fab views and very hairpin bend step descents. We had a fabulous climb to the top of Mount Allen and nearly got blown off our feet at the top but it was not too cold even though we were above the snow line.

In the evening we walked round Queenstown water front as it is quite a large and busy place. Looking east across the snowy mountains the sunset was being reflected by the snow onto the Lake which created a very strange light.
