This morning I was up early because I had a lot to accomplish. First, I went to Crestview RV Center in Buda to have the bathroom vent handle and TV antenna crank handle replaced. I was very glad that they were able to do the work on such short notice. They did not charge for labor for installing the bathroom vent handle. The sealant they had used when they had installed vent covers a year and a half ago now made it impossible for mobile tech Ronnie to do the work.
Next on the agenda was a stop at Pflugerville Propane for propane and a much-needed bath for Daisy and Sweet Pea. Because of the widespread drought, none of the RV parks where I stayed on my trip would allow RV washing, so my vehicles had accumulated quite a thick coat of road grime. While the guys were washing my rig I ate lunch and even had time to read a few pages in my book.
A short distance farther down the interstate I fed Daisy ($2.859 per gallon). Then we were on our way to the Sunshine RV Park outside Leander. I paid for a month. It is a nice park with level concrete sites and good gravel interior roads. My site is on Sunshine Drive. All their other street names begin with Sun. Maybe that's a good omen. :>)
The trip today was only 73 miles. I made it through Austin on I-35 in record time -- not a single slow-down! That is one for the books.
