End Of Oklahoma Saga
Jun 15, 2015
|Marilyn & I slept fairly well considering the heavy downpour which continued throughout most of the night.
We had the RV ready to be pulled into the shop by 8:00 and Slade went right to work.
The new toilet was installed and the old one went straight to the dumpster.
Two new 6V batteries replaced the single 12v battery which was more than five years old.
A new Holding Tank Vent Cap was installed, and a new flexible wiring support replaced the broken one.
We were on the road again right at 11:00 AM and arrived at Oasis RV Resort at 2:00 PM.
By 2:30 we were all set up and relaxing.
This morning, while the work was being done on the RV, I called the Pike Pass 800 number and explained my problem yesterday.
We talked for some time and the end result was that I paid $4.75 by Credit Card to resolve the matter. I had no proof that I had placed $5 in the Toll Basket, so that was a loss.
Anyway, we are done with that.
I spoke on the phone today with Bob and later with Jesse.
I enjoyed both conversations and look forward to the time when we are all together again.
Tomorrow we plan to travel to Raton Pass in New Mexico, where we’ll stay overnight.
That is about a four hour drive, maybe a bit less.
On Wednesday we’ll continue our journey to Mountaindale where we will spend the summer.
That will make five consecutive days of travel and that will be all we want.
We seldom move every day for more than two days at a time, but this time is an exception.
We really want to get there and get set up, so that we can be in “Nesting” mode for awhile.
Life is Good!
