Ok, time to go, bye....

Saturday we met our friends Jim and Pat for a late breakfast. They were here for a few days over the holidays, visiting from Kalama, Washington. We met Jim and Pat about 25 years ago when they still resided here in Las Vegas and have continued to remain close even though they moved away several years ago. You might remember that Jim is fighting lung cancer, and, he has had two chemo treatments since we visited them in Washington in October. Needless to say, they have taken a toll on him but Jim is a fighter and we are believing the Lord is going to heal him. His next treatment is scheduled in January so all prayers would be greatly appreciated. We enjoyed our visit together very much and are grateful they were able to squeeze us in before leaving yesterday morning.

Yesterday we met Tawnia and Larry at their church at 6pm. Sal and Jackie (Tawnia's dad) arrived from Canada Saturday evening so they were there as well. It was a special service this week as Pastor Ron did a dedication for Miss Jasmine. Not a water baptism, just a dedication giving her life back to the Lord. A new thing for us, but we like it. Anyway, she looked adorable in her pretty little dress, a gift from Sal & Jackie. And she was as good as gold, not an easy thing for a 1 1/2 year old! Their attention span seems to be quite short, LOL!

And now we've arrived to today. Larry had his semi-annual doctor's visit to get the results back from his blood test etc. Looks like he is doing mighty fine. His cholesterol is lower than last visit, his blood pressure was good and he weighs a little less as well. Way to go honey. Looks like all the nutritional supplements you are taking are doing their job. Larry has a birthday the 10th of January and I'm not allowed to reveal his age. But just a hint, he was born in '41, so you do the math....His motto is, 'you're only as old as you feel', and he feels great! I like that....
