|Sleep was a bit erratic again last night.
This time it was due to a storm which passed through Kerrville around midnight last night.
Lots of thunder, lightning, and heavy rain contributed to the fun.
We sat outdoors with Eddie & Jan, with our coffee this morning.
Later, after showers and dressed for the day, we rode with Eddie & Jan, to the site of old Camp Verde, established in 1856 as a place to explore the feasibility of using camels in military service.
Today, the old general store still exists, with the addition of a restaurant and gift shop.
We looked around, took pictures, and then chose to enjoy lunch at the restaurant, which is rated among the top 100 restaurants in the USA.
The food and service were excellent as well as reasonably priced.
We have decided to go back, simply for the dessert and coffee, at some future date.
When we left Camp Verde, Eddie drove us through a golf course community where he and his son have played golf in the past.
It was a fine day in the company of good friends.
Speaking of friends, Sherry will be here tomorrow while Dan & Pat will share time with us on Wednesday.
This evening we sat with our friends, Eddie & Jan, sipping freshly made Cajun Bloody Mary’s.
The weather was perfect, as was the company.
It was a fine time, and now we are inside ready to watch Dancing With The Stars.
Life is Good!
