I was up early this morning because I had to take Daisy to the 'doctor' at RV Outlet Mall in Georgetown. There were several things that needed to be done: Replace the gasket around the escape hatch on the roof, clean the roof air conditioner, replace the bathroom faucet, replace the flapper and gasket in the toilet, replace three running lights and check the tires. This took all day so they let me spend the night behind their shop and use their water and electrical hookups.
During the process of replacing the escape hatch gasket, they discovered that the tape that a mobile RV tech in Austin had installed on all the roof seams was coming loose and that water was getting under it. I decided to have that repaired tomorrow since I was already here. It will be an all-day job, so I will spend Thursday night here as well.
All of this is going to cost me a bundle, so my travel plans will have to be modified. No long trips this year. Boo hoo! At least I'm getting two free nights of camping at RV Outlet Mall. They have free WiFi for their customers but I couldn't get a signal from behind their shop.
I called Ed, one of our wagon masters, to tell him that I would be arriving at the campout at La Grange sometime Friday instead of Thursday as planned.
