It is in the 50s this morning and we went to Whittier. To get there you have to drive thru a 2.5 mile tunnel. It was $12 to go to Whittier but it is free to return. Whittier is not really a destination resort. It is mostly a boating and fishing place. We did walk around town. Today is the one time a year that you are allowed to walk through the tunnel. The tunnel is only a single lane and is shared with the Railroad. It runs one way at a time for a half hour. Also the train has its schedule with no cars. Today from 2:30 to 4:30 the public are allow to walk the tunnel. This only occurs once a year. We make the 2:00 return and are now on the way to make the posting to the Blog. We need to drive up the road a couple of miles to the visitors center which has free wifi.
