Eye of the needle

We left Edmonton on Monday, Aug. 28 and spent the night in Sakatoon, Saskachewan. We drove to Williston, North Dakota on Tuesday and from there to Sturgis, South Dakota yesterday. I have an extremely slow internet connection so I will post pictures later.

We went to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument on Thursday. They are both amazing. We took the Presidential Trail and saw Mount Rushmore up close. Crazy Horse is the largest mountain carving in the world. As you can see, it is a work in progress. We drove through Deadwood on the way back to camp. Today we went to Custer State Park and saw herds of Buffalo and Pronghorn Antelope and drove on the Needles Highway. We went through 2 one lane tunnels on the Needles Highway. It was raining all day but it was still a fun drive.

Tomorrow we are off to the Devil's Tower in Wyoming.
