We're At Betty's RV Park
Oct 27, 2014
|Today we moved to Betty’s RV Park in Abbeville.
Eddie & Jan were headed back to Waco while Chuck & Coletta were meeting the rest of us in Abbeville.
Mike and I were out early wiping down the trucks and getting our RV’s ready to roll.
We managed to roll out of Bayou Segnette State Park before 8:30 this morning, and three hours later we were at Betty’s.
Now this is a wonderful place to spend some time but the RV’s are crammed in here, very close to one another.
In spite of the parking challenge, we were parked and on the way to lunch at “Schuck’s” for more Cajun food.
The oysters and other selected dishes were quite good and, once again, we left feeling very content.
Marilyn & I both dozed off for awhile before Happy Hour began at 4:30, on Betty’s patio.
As we left our RV, a gentleman from the motor home next to us, appeared and exclaimed “Hi Ed Dray.” He continued by explaining that he has followed our blog for several years.
Rich Coppens and his wife, from Illinois, are also headed to the Rio Grande Valley.
They are also going on the swamp tour tomorrow morning.
We hope to get some pictures to share with you dear readers, as soon as we have a reliable internet service.
There was lots of food at Happy Hour, and Betty had us listen to a pretty neat song about “Betty’s RV Park”.
I wish I had a copy of it.
We settled down to watch Dancing With The Stars tonight and then I plan to get some reading done before falling asleep.
