Today we had a longer drive than usual, so I was more than ready to stop by the time we arrived at the campground! The scenery was nice. I think the Texas portion of the desert is prettier than that of the states west of us. No, I’m not exaggerating! :>) The terrain is more varied, with mountains, large hills and mesas; and the plant life is much more abundant and varied as well. It doesn’t seem so desolate.
Tonight Barb and I had our last meal together on this trip. We ate at Isaack's Restaurant, which was recommended by the RV park staff. The food was abundant and good.
It will seem strange not to be planning our next activities. I’ve certainly enjoyed the last three and a half months on the road. We’ve had some wonderful experiences, as well as a few stressful ones with vehicle issues. It is very difficult to say which places were the most beautiful or interesting. Each state or province has something worthwhile to offer.
