Pape's Pecan Museum - Antique Pecan-Processing Equipment

Today more of our members arrived, so we now have 19 rigs. We are very happy about the good turnout. We were especially happy to see Linda Longley, who is dealing with cancer and is taking chemo again. We also were happy to see Bruce, Ethel and Betty B, all of whom have been dealing with other health issues. They just drove over in their cars and stayed only a few hours.

This morning we enjoyed a tour of Pape’s Pecan Museum where the owner has on display nearly ten thousand nut crackers! The variety is astounding. There is also a small collection of antique commercial pecan-processing machines. They served us fruit punch and vanilla ice cream with pecan and chocolate toppings. Mmmm!

Tonight we had dinner at Casa Sol Mexican Restaurant. The food and service were very good. We had only one waitress and I don't think she made a single mistake.

After dinner eleven of our members went to a dance at the Senior Center. The rest of us played table games in the rec hall.
